is this a test?
i do believe that that is the Monitor-Merrimac Tunnel between Hampton Va. and Suffolk...almost sure of it. (Route 664)
i can almost see the coal yards on the other side...remember????????
if it's NOT the M&M it ain't impressive compared to the Hampron Roads Bridge Tunnel.......look that one up missy.
Virginia rules when it comes to tunnels...

click here for another perspective...note long span before going underwater..it's definitely tokyo *S*
even so chele, that much water underwater doesn't sound right...we have 3 underwater tunnels here and none have that problem....sounds like it would be one to avoid!!!

the tunnel machele speaks of -i believe was the "downtown tunnel" between norfolk and va. beach...older tunnel...yes with water on the sides...but...NOONE has tunnels like us.
(underwater that is...)
may very well be japan...but...not as, well, ya know how i feel about the good ole USA...we got our problems but we also got the best of most.
'nuff said.
